This is exactly where I saw this classic Freestyle Hi Spirit model from Reebok the last time! It’s more than 25 years ago, but I could never forget El Show The Yuly, where the pretty southamerican TV presenter Yuly was jumping, singing and running around in her show, wearing those classics – another colour every show! My sisters and me were so in love with her (our wanna-be-when-I-grow-up-icon), and not to mention her rainbow coloured palette of Rebook classics – we were crazyyy about them (ahhh, I love the 80s).

The need for inspiration and ongoing change

If you want or need to start something new which seems to be very difficult in the first place – in my case having to change my diet due to health problems and therefore cut out gluten and refined sugar as well as having dairy products only now and then – I think it’s crucial to find something that inspires and motivates you to keep you on track. I didn’t wanted to feel kind of punished or condemned to this diet changes I had to make. I wanted it to be thoroughly positive, because the conclusion to all of this should be to actually make me feel better within my skin and help my immune system to perform as well as possible again and as it’s supposed to.

So where to get some inspiration from, to conquer this new lifestyle I needed to face and ideally turn into an effortless, joyful and lifelong way of nourishing myself?

Banana Bread

I’ve always loved every kind of bananas, in smoothies, fried as a side with eggs, a steak, some rice, avocados and tomatoes, frozen and then mixed to heavenly soft ice cream, in cakes and muffins or just eaten right away and “unprocessed”. Since I’m eating gluten free, I’ve been keen on creating delicious sweet treats that fit into my new diet, and of course some of them had to include my beloved bananas! So creating a yummi banana bread that could work either as a nutrient-rich breakfast or snack during the day, was the next absolutely logical step for me.

Quick and easy sweet potato and courgette veggie bowl

This veggie bowl is so delicious, quick and easy to make! I enjoyed every bite of it, and couldn’t believe how tasty it was. Lots of ideas came into my mind, about how many other tasty and healthy meals I could create based on this veggie mix. Having it with some glutenfree pasta, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa, chickpeas, kidney beans, brown rice waffles, … sounded just heavenly.
